The church is available to members for funeral services, grief support, and prayer. At the family’s request, our Board of Deacons can provide a Memorial Receptions for the attendees and family members in Stevenson Hall. Please see the support services listed below.
The Board of Deacons directly serves the congregation by offering comfort, support, and service for the sick, bereaved, those with special needs, and others needing help or comfort, and by helping to recognize those occasions for celebration by congregation members.
On the premises is a beautiful columbarium where members and their loved ones may have their lives memorialized, and their cremated remains housed and safeguarded in a dedicated space in the church where niches are designed to house urns containing a deceased person’s cremated remains. Click here for more information about the Columbarium. (See our old website. There are four different docs available.)
Some families request receptions in Stevenson Hall after a funeral or memorial service. Deacons and volunteers from the congregation provide punch and cookies for the family and friends. If a family wants catered services, the mission coordinates with the caterer.
Deacons coordinate logistics for funerals and memorial services held at the church, with the Church Administrative Assistant, Funeral directors, family, church staff, police, and other churches for parking space.
Memorial gifts can be made to the Endowment Fund in honor or in memory of a loved one. Family members are notified of your gifts. Any funds help to secure our church’s mission.
